1. What are the historical origins of the AXA Group?

The AXA Group today is the result of a series of mergers involving French regional mutual insurance companies, known collectively as Les Mutuelles Unies. In 1982, Les Mutuelles Unies took control of Groupe Drouot, and in 1985, the new Group began operating under the name AXA.

8. How do I participate in this Turning Point Contest by AXA AFFIN Life Insurance Berhad?

To participate in the contest and be eligible to win a prize, participants must be Malaysian citizens(or hold residency status), and be aged 21 and above.
Employees, and immediate family members of AXA AFFIN Life Insurance Berhad, their agents  and their partner agency are not eligible to enter the contest.

9. How do I play this Turning Point Contest?

Gain the most points by balancing wealth and Quality of Life (QoL) throughout the 4 life stages.

Throughout the game, you will have to make decisions concerning your financial well being.  However life is not just about money, your quality of life is every bit as important. 
You will earn more points when the balance between wealth and QoL in the meter (found in the game) stays in the central green zone.

Starting the game
When the game begins you are located at the ‘Start’ space. Move around the board in a clockwise direction by throwing the two pyramid shaped dice.

The game covers the four stages of adult life, which are:-

1. Life Starter.
   The early years of an adult life are about creating a stable base on which you build the remainder of your life.  Time to save and invest for your future.
   Salary: RM2,500 per month.
2. Newly Married.
   This stage in life brings many changes and can lead you to redefining your priorities and goals.  A great time to enjoy life?
   Salary: RM5,000 per month
3. Marriage with Children.
   A child brings with it many new responsibilities, and many childhood moments you probably don’t want to miss.
   Salary: RM6,500 per month
4. Golden Years.
   For many, it’s time to rethink priorities.  Are you ready to retire and do all those things you’ve been planning?  Can you afford to?
   Salary: RM15,000 per month

Each life stage has a playing time limit of 5 minutes and is represented by a different board.  As you complete each life stage you will move up to the next. 
The game will end when you have completed all 4 life stages.
If you land on any square which results in an expense that you cannot afford with your current disposable income (wealth), points will be deducted from the players’ total.

10. Why do I need to give referrals?

You will earn more points towards your high score by telling your friends about the TURNING POINT contest.  We will add 500 points to your highest ranking score for every friend referred by you, as soon as they have logged on to the site and have successfully registered to play.

11. What do I need to do to gain more points?

To gain more points you have to answer the trivia questions correctly. The more correct answer you get the more points you will receive.

 12. What do I need to know about this game?

The currency here is points.  Throughout the entire game the player's achievements will be rewarded with points.  Mistakes, errors of judgment, or simply bad luck, will result in points being deducted from the player’s total.  Points awarded to the player will be maximized when there is a well balanced approach in making decisions between wealth & QoL.

Points can be obtained in two ways.

1.  Answering the trivia questions correctly.  You will receive 100 points for each correctly answered question, but lose 100 points if you get it wrong.
2.  Making wise choices when you land on a square.  Whether you choose to invest your money or to spend it, the balance between your wealth and quality of life (QoL) will be affected.

Salary

Each time you reach a new life stage your salary is increased.

Earning squares

These affect your wealth in a positive way.  For investment opportunities, the cost is deducted immediately and the returns added to your wealth each time you pass ‘Start’.  If, later in the game, you land on the same square, you are given the opportunity to upgrade the investment (maximum of 2 upgrades). 

Expense squares

These affect your wealth in a negative manner and may also have a negative impact on the player’s quality of life (QoL).  If, later in the game, you land on the same square, you will have to pay the upgrade price (maximum of 2 upgrades).

Chest Card squares

There are 3 types of chest:

1. Surprise
   You may either be penalized or rewarded.
2. Obligation
   This may cost you money, QoL, or both.
3. Trivia Chest
   Answer a trivia question taken from the pile.  You will gain 100 points for a correct answer and lose 100 points if you answer incorrectly.

You may play the game as many times as you wish.  Only your best score will be recorded.
Points received through successful referrals (referrals who have successfully registered for the game) will be accumulated and added to your highest recorded score. 

 13. What is the grand prize for this contest ?

Grand Prize:   RM50,000
2nd Prize:   RM10,000
3rd Prize:     RM5,000
5 Consolation Prizes:   RM1,000

 14. How long is this game duration ?

The duration of this game is about 20 minutes.

In short this game is about how you manage your life and everything in it i.e. your income and expenses. You will also be facing some
real-life issue that you need to make decisions on.

16.  When is the start date and end date of this Turning point Contest?

The contest begins at 2pm on 22nd April 2008 (Malaysia) and closes at 11:59pm on 30th June 2008 (Malaysia).

17. Can I participate in the Turning Point Contest more than one time?

Yes you can. The more you play the higher chances for you to win.

18. If I am a winner, when will I be informed?

Contest winners may be notified by telephone call to his/ her registered phone number or email address, for which the contact information must have been provided during the game registration process.

19. How can I claim my prize if I win?

All winners will be called via phone, announced and notified in website. http://www.myaxaplan.com.my

The prizes shall be received at AXA AFFIN Life Insurance Berhad in Malaysia. All winners must follow given instructions for claiming their prize, failing which they may not receive their prize. All winners may be required to sign a form of legal release to be determined by
AXA AFFIN Life Insurance Berhad in its absolute discretion.

20. Do I need to be a policy holder of AXA AFFIN Life Insurance Berhad to participate in The Turning Point Contest?

To play the game you do not need to be a customer of AXA AFFIN Life Insurance Berhad, nor is there any requirement to become a customer.
